I have been married 6 years.
I believe in God and the Bible.
I have been a Stay At Home Mommy since February 2004.
I will be homeschooling all my children.
I love being pregnant and I love breastfeeding.
I breastfed my first son for 12 months; breastfed my second son for 13 months; my 3rd son weaned daytime feedings at 12mo and completely weaned himself off breastmilk by 13 months old. Now I'm breastfeeding #4 and I'm hoping to get to at least 18 months before he stops on his own. He is 10mo now so I have breastfed for a total of about 47 months so far since April 2004 when my oldest was born.
Each child is a different experience.
I think pediatricians should be banned from giving breastfeeding advice since they aren't lactation consultants (didn't go to school to learn about Mammary glands or the adult female body) and frequently say the wrong thing. I just as much think that ObGyns should be banned from giving actual birthing advice since they only care to be paid for their 2-minute vaginal inspections and catching of babies and nothing else. Apparently the money they spent on school wasn't worth it since they didn't learn everything about the natural ways of a woman's body and how to have good doctor-to-patient manners.
My oldest son is very much a leader and forgets that Dad and Mom are in charge sometimes, but has a hard time playing by himself - he loves the company of others.
My second son is a big follower (copycat), he is very loud but can play very quietly by himself.
My third son is a huge goofball, he is very independent, but needs attention constantly whether it's from his brothers or Mommy or Daddy, he is just about 2 years old so I can't wait to see what other unique charateristics he develops.
My fourth son is still my baby but has paid more attention to Daddy at an early stage than all the others, he loves everybody and you can't look at him without getting a smile.
I love walking and riding my bicycle but can only do it during the summer months as Buffalo,NY is a very cold place from October to May.
I try to be healthy but I absolutely can't live without chocolate or coffee (not for the caffeine, just the flavor)!
I can't stand the fizz in soda pop or how it makes your stomach feel full after two sips. I think energy drinks are nasty.
I have no immediate family living in the same state as me, only my in-laws.
We've only paid a babysitter a few times since our oldest was born in April 2004, my mother-in-law will usually watch some of the kids for a few hours in the evening once every few weeks or my father-in-law will watch one during the day for an hour when there's a doctor appointment. My husband and I try to go out on a date 2 times a year.
I think that's about all the personal stuff I can come up with that is worth sharing.
